    Job Description/Responsibilities:  

    Entravision El Paso Texas is looking for a full time Promotions Director. The qualified individual must work closely with sales to cross promote all of our television, radio, and digital platforms. Handle public relation tasks, writing and distributing press releases, and enhancing the company’s overall image. Must possess strong written and verbal skills, highly organized and an accomplished problem solver, as this person will be interacting with everyone from upper management to his/her staff to clients on a regular basis. Must be driven, professional, courteous, and able to work well alone or with a team. Must handle everyday tasks such as responding to emails, sorting through incoming mail…etc. Writing, creating and directing on air promotional TV and radio spots, supervising station contests arranging prizes and viewers, listener events. Representing station at community events and promotions. Management of merchandising inventory including station promotion materials and equipment. Compiling quarterly FCC reports. Maintaining accurate records of contestants (winner sheets) and ensuring contests are conducted in accordance with FCC regulations and law. Attend client meetings with sales team for creative and promotional ideas/strategies as needed. Attend and organize any job fairs to comply with our FCC EEO reporting.

    Job Requirements/Qualifications:  

    Bilingual (English and Spanish)is preferred but not required, bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required in marketing, advertising, communications, or public relations, journalism, administration, and sales. Computer skills such as Microsoft Office, Excel, Word. Must have creative, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills as well as a decision maker. This person will take charge of El Paso’s TV/Radio promotions department. Must be able to work under pressure, handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Must be able to work all shifts including weekends and holidays if necessary.

    Job Description/Responsibilities: 

    Entravision Communications has an opening for a part time Van Driver/Remote Coordinator. Responsibilities include assist promotions director; work closely with the Sales and Programming Department. Communicate and coordinate upcoming promotions with promotions director, attend weekly meetings with promotions staff, execute outdoor station events. Set up live remotes, van hits, concert and special events (setting up displays, banners, decorating, connecting engineering equipments, hosting games and prize giveaways). Maintaining station’s vehicles and equipment, report any broken or hazardous equipment to supervisor. Work with clients and the general public when attending events, remotes, and/or van hits. Maintain a high level of integrity and honesty. Take pictures at all events, remotes, and van hits and create re-caps of all events. Maintain calendar of events, assist in updating websites.

    Job Requirements/Qualifications:

    News Anchor / Producer / Reporter to join our news team. The successful candidate must possess good news judgment, high-degree of credibility and two to five years’ experience in performing broadcasting duties in a commercial TV newsroom. Candidate must speak and read from scripted materials, such as news reports or commercial messages, on television. Candidate will be responsible for daily content of newscasts writing, producing and presenting accurate balanced daily news stories for the station’s newscast.

    Job Description/Responsibilities:

    • Produce content daily for live newscasts.
    • Research, investigate, write, produce and anchor general news or special news assignments-recorded and/or live from the studio/field.
    • Produce newscasts rundowns.
    • Attend and participate in off-site company-sponsored and community events as assigned by station management.

    Job Requirements/Qualification:

    • Effective news writing and storytelling ability.
    • Must be able to perform well under pressure, meet daily deadlines, and respond quickly to changes.
    • Must be organized, highly motivated and results-oriented.
    • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    Requirements:

    • Minimum of 2-5 years experience anchoring/reporting in television news with an emphasis on “live" studio and “in-the field" reporting in a small to medium TV market.

    • Must have experience in developing contacts, producing hard news stories.
    • Must be able to interpret and translate from English to Spanish accurately.
    • Strong computer skills and knowledge of television equipment and editing software (Adobe platform)
    • A college degree in Journalism, Radio/Television or related field from accredited University preferred.
    • Excellent and accurate grammatical Spanish and English language skills – both written and oral - required. Bilingual - fluency in English and Spanish is required.

    Job Requirements/Qualifications:  

    Two to five years experience as a video journalist. Must be able to interpret and translate from English to accurate Spanish. Strong computer skills and knowledge of computer based video recording equipment and editing principles is required. Functional to advanced knowledge in the use of field cameras, gear and editing systems. Effective news writing ability for all platforms. Proficient in newsroom computer systems and applications. Story telling ability, strong journalistic standards and ethics. Responsible for editing, shooting general assignment stories when needed. College degree preferred. One year experience as technical director required. Able to operate all production equipment. Have knowledge of production techniques. Must be able to work holidays, nights and weekends. Must work hours necessary to perform duties as outlined above. If not a citizen of USA, must have permanent work permit. Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
